- 1/2 cup ragi or finger millet flour
- 6 tablespoons besan or gram flour
- 2 tablespoons fried gram dal flour/ pottukadalai maavu
- 2 teaspoons melted ghee
- 1 teaspoon sesame or carom seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- A pinch of asafoetida
- Oil for deep frying
- Water
Add all the ingredients except oil and water in a mixing bowl.
Add water gradually and make a soft stiff dough.
Heat oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot maintain medium flame.
Make murukku by loading the dough in murukku press. Serve ragi butter murukku as snack
